Part 3: Chapter 8

Right at that moment, in the manor across the swamp, the magnetic tapes of the computer started spinning furiously next to Isma, who had gone without sleep or rest, analyzing data to give Set a body. The computer rejected all the commands he typed on the keyboard, and the screen starte scrolling rapidly, as if a huge amount of data had gone haywire.
    "What's going on!?"
Isma stood up, and the concrete under his feet tore in cracks with a terrible rending sound. Gouts of flame erupted from the cabling, and the hexagram inscribed on the floor started undulating as if it was alive. The cellar was filled with the murmurs of otherworldly voices.
    "Set!"
"Set is going to be born!"
"He's finally going to be born!"
Ancient Aramaic, Hebrew, Greek...all the voices, regardless of the languages they spoke in, started blending together in a disordered cacaphony.
Born? What do they mean by born?
Isma just managed to stumble outside. There, his supernaturally heightened senses detected a demonic power far beyond anything he had ever experienced before gathering on the opposite side of the swamp.

wow! double update thanks a lot Masakado and sorry for being late ^_^

looks like things are heating up and looks like Isma isn't much better than Nakajima :P looks like he just lost control of Set sorta curious when Charles(Isma's brother. i'm plagued by short term memory loss at the moment) will enter the story again tho... seems like he's only a minor player...

Hey, it's been awhile since I could check in. I've been swept up in the last few weeks of the college semester and Finals to keep tabs on things, I'm really shocked at how much more has been finished since I was last here.

Great work as always and I'm glad to have plenty to read over the next few days. Your dedication to this project and the very small fanbase is admirable.

It's sad this isn't a more popular translation project whenever it's really pretty important to the Megaten series as a whole.

Ah well... I guess only Anime Fansubs really ever get much hype... lol, I guess if you get bored after the novels there is always the live-action Devil Summoner TV series and dare I even mention it jokingly... the Devil Children anime, lol.

Meh, I don't really care whether these translations are popular are not. As long as I know at least one person other than myself is reading it, it's not a waste of time.

Just wanted you to know that at least one person is reading these more than a decade after you posted them. Thank you for all of your hard work! It's awesome that you've made this avaliable to English speaking readers!

I value your perspective, Masakado. Depth matters as much as breadth, sometimes more.
